As a former Practice Manager with an interest in training I have been aware for some years of the lack of relatively up to date training material for new practice managers. Over the last 20 years or so there have been plenty of specially written books concentrating on various aspects of general practice management ranging from the Law to Ethics and from Business Planning to making Sense of Accounts, Cost Rents and more.
However, with the level of changes in the NHS and the growth of internet web sites for reference there is now a notable absence of ‘books’ on the subject. I have therefore prepared a Dictionary with over 300 topics, 40,000 words and 130 pages covering as many aspects as I could conjure on subjects that are relevant to a GP Practice Manager.
The ‘Dictionary’ is available to download from the Practice Index web site Resources section – www.practiceindex.co.uk.
