To summarise, looking at Practice web sites it is not clear that they are being used to keep patients up to date. Rather than telephone a Practice, I would have thought Patients should be encouraged to visit the Practice web site as a first port of call. Then, there ought to be a short but clear Statement on the opening telephone message for the Practice which says do not contact the surgery about the availability of Covid vaccines as an invitation will be issued when vaccines become available. Likewise there are significant changes to the way services to patients are provided and access to these services might be via the website or by telephone or email.
